Our get away car was a teal 66 notch back. Of course with one MINOR difference, it was only 2 years old at that time. Ha. Some idiots put about a pound of gravel in each hub cap. I had to stop along the PA. turnpike in good clothes to pop the caps and empty them. Some how my mind was not in the car repair mode. Ugg! Congrats to the happy couple. This year will be 41 for us. May they beat that mark with great joy. P.S. Good on you Ryan for making it extra memorable. Way coolness. |

To add in, more credit for Bob's work.... This was the first real test for the '66 GT as far as duration of use went. It did 150+ miles round trip in one day from Mount Airy to Annapolis to Pasadena and back around to Mount Airy. This included sitting idle in 90 degree weather and driving 55 miles at 9pm home. Car ran perfectly, not once single issue...aside from the stock interior dash lamps (which will be upgraded now). That to me was really a testimonial to the work done. To have no issues at all was wonderful, I told Bob "I have to admit, I was worried something would go wrong". I said that because everything has been replaced from the thermostat housing to the rear gears. All I can say is A++ all the way around and my sister and her new hubby loved it. Plus, her husband is an old school Chevy guy, but when he arrived at the reception and backed the '66 in he said "damn that is sweet". Thumbs up Bob for all the work! |
