| Post subject: | Cruise to Sonic? |
My company picnic was yesterday at Hersheypark, so I knew there was a couple of Sonics in PA. I checked the route and there is one right off of 83 in Red Lion. We stopped there in the morning at about 830 and it was nice. Plenty of parking, very clean and the people are pleasant. Its 65 miles from my house(northern AA county). Its a very scenic drive with no tolls, also the backroads off of 83 to get to Sonic are very curvy and scenic. Wanted to see if anyone was maybe interested in a mustang cruise up there, since alot of people have never been to a Sonic, since we don't have them in MD. |

Ok, looking at Saturday, November 21 at 9am going to the Hanover, PA Sonic. Working on the flyer and other stuff, I really want to make this a Hot Rod cruise meaning open to all performance vehicles, but I won't deny anyone who wants to come, cause my friend who does great camera work doesn't have a "hot rod" either. Anyway, the route runs right through Westminster up 140. Anyone thats ever been to Carlisle its the same route just shorter, only 60 miles from Glen Burnie. Since Bob lives in Westminster I wanted to ask him what would be the best meeting place for the second stop, he would know this road better than me and the stores and or shops in the area. So Bob your help is appreciated. Hope to have all the details worked out in a week. Any input is welcome since I'm new at organizing a cruise. |

If the Sonic restaurant is located in Hanover, PA then it is a straight shot up Rt. 30 after leaving Reisterstown. It just depends on where the restaurant is located in Hanover. Keep in mind that no matter which route you take you will be traveling through a lot of small towns on a two lane highway. Good for sightseeing. Midnight Blue |
