Do you know any bikers? I hope to borrow one from one of the bikers I know. I just had a thought; am pretty sure you could borrow my grandson's helmet that Saturday. He won't be needing it as he is grounded and won't be skateboarding for a while. :stickpoke: |

I got one. Worn 2 times. Never been wrecked. Blue, silver and black. If you want ill bring it with me to GOOTC so you can use it. If you want to keep it its $50. |

Only thing I can add is that there are different ratings on helmets and depending on the track and what racing association rules they follow (IHRA, NHRA, etc.) they have different requirements. With that said, I have never been to a MD track, so not sure how stong that is enforced, but figured I would bring it up. |

Removed due to new 2009 rules. I will try to dig them up. Here is what I found so far. IMPORTANT TECH UPDATE: Effective 1/1/09 Snell K-98 Helmets will no longer be valid for use in drag racing. Also as a reminder the Snell 95 Helmets are also no longer valid for use in drag racing. Please check your helmet and if you have eithe a Snell K98 or Snell 95 you will need to replace it prior to competing in any competition at any NHRA sanctioned racetrack. The Snell K98 and Snell 95 helmets are expired and no exceptions will be made for use of this model of helmet if you are running 13.99 and quicker in the 1/4 mile or 8.59 in the 1/8th mile. Acceptable helmets are the Snell 2000 and Snell 2005. |

Hey I looked for the rule book but came up empty. I just wanted to put it out there so there is no disappointments at the track. Only reason I am aware is I am looking for a cheap helmet as well. |
