Had a great time at the CCC on Saturday. They probably had to mop the drool off the garage floor!
Anyway, I had asked our Fearless Leader about some kind of literature I could leave on any Mustangs I saw out in the world or hand to drivers. Recently I had a conversation with the owner of a sweet '11 GT-500 who had no idea there was an MCOM. Scott handed me a stack of MCOM business cards, and not 20 minutes after I left, I had a chance to give one out.
I stopped at a gas station on Reisterstown Rd, and a guy pulled in in a very nice blue '95 GT vert (last of the 1st gen. 5.0s). I found myself debating whether I should even approach him, but I pushed myself and started off with "nice Mustang," which he answered by telling me how he was restoring it and what he's done so far (new top, etc). I then asked him if he'd ever heard of us, and he said "no." I told him I have an '88 LX 5.0, myself, and then about the club, and then he asked me about a hot-start problem he's having. I'd heard of that problem with 5.0s, but I don't know the answer to it, but I told him, if anyone does, they'd be on our forum.
He left very excited to check us out, and even promised to mention us to his father, who owns a first-gen GT-350!
So, handing out literature works!! Thanks, Scott!
I just realized I didn't get his name...

Next time.
