NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series Ron Capps, (RFC) Antron Brown, Greg Anderson and LE Tonglet won Wallys in Sunday's Fram-Autolite Nationals at California's Infineon Raceway.
In Funny Car, Capps got his first victory of the season. He ran 4.145 seconds, 303.57 mph in a Dodge Charger to best (RFC) Tim Wilkerson's 4.175, 300.93 mph in a Ford Mustang. (RFC) John Force set an NHRA record with his 139th career pole. Jack Beckman qualified sixth in the Valvoline/Aaron's Dodge Charger and lost in the first round. (RFC) Mike Neff is 163 points ahead of (RFC) Robert Hight.
In Top Fuel, (RFC) Brown clocked 3.883, 314.61 mph to best teammate Tony Schumacher's 3.919, 311.41 mph. It was Brown's third win of the season. Del Worsham is 82 points ahead of Spencer Massey.
In Pro Stock, Anderson's GXP had a 6.562, 210.28 mph lap vs. (RFC) Mike Edwards' 6.576, 210.14 mph in a GXP. Anderson won for the third time this year. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified 13th in the Valvoline GXP and lost in the first round. Edwards is 15 points up on Jason Line.
In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Tonglet's Suzuki went 7.001, 189.76 mph to Michael Phillips' 7.016, 192.63 mph on a Suzuki. (RFC) Karen Stoffer is five points in front of Eddie Krawiec.
