NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series
Del Worsham became the 15th driver to win in both the Top Fuel and Funny Car classes with his TF victory in Sunday's Tire Kingdom Gatornationals. Worsham went 3.858 seconds, 318.99 mph to beat Tony Schumacher's 3.866, 318.39 mph. Worsham leads Schumacher by 24 points.
In Funny Car, (RFC) Mike Neff got his second career win. His Ford Mustang ran 4.092, 310.48 mph to best Cruz Pedregon's tire-smoking 7.819, 99.32 mph in a Toyota. Jack Beckman qualified No. 2 in the Valvoline/Aarons Dodge and lost in the semifinals. Neff tops Matt Hagan by 26 points.
In Pro Stock, (RFC) Jason Line took his second consecutive triumph. His Pontiac GXP clocked 6.554, 211.96 mph for a holeshot win over teammate Greg Anderson's 6.545, 212.43 mph. (RFC) Ron Krisher qualified seventh in the Valvoline Pontiac GXP and lost in the semis. (RFC) Roger Brogdon set a national ET record of 6.495 and (RFC) Erica Enders the national speed mark of 213.57 mph. Kurt Busch qualified 12th in a Dodge in his Pro Stock debut but lost to Enders in the first round. Line is 48 points ahead of Anderson. In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Eddie Krawiec's Harley-Davidson had a 6.847, 197.08 mph lap vs. Karen Stoffer, who turned on the red light. Krawiec is 20 points ahead of (RFC) Hector Arana.
