Dan and i were going over the membership list last night and noticed that about 1/2 of MCOM members have not renewed and still have tags issued to them. we will be sending out emails to them members who are not current. we understand things get overlooked, forgotten. we can not send out reminders to renew your much appreicated MCOM membership. we appreicate you being a member. we try to do things for you as a Mustang owner . i think there is only 1 other state that has Mustang tags which is Okla. lets be proud and all the Officers thank you for placing MCOM tag on your vehicles. its an honor for you to do that. lets not take advantage and not be a member and have a chance to have your tags flagged because your are not a current member. we think our membership price is very fair and hasn't be raised for a long time. i just noticed that the MCA has raised there price from $40 to $50 for there membership. we know tht we don't have a 4 color Magazine/newsletter but we try to make everyone happy for what we send out to every member if its mailed or emailed. remember some of the MCOM members are donating their time to provide info for you to benefit from. we recently came up with members of the month and those picked for that month we have there pic posted and a brief discription for their outstanding services above and beyond for what they did for the club. Just think the next one could be you. we are currently working on rewarding them for what they did. Back to the tag issue. please as soon as you get you tag renewal in the mail. try to get it renewed and please don't wait until the last minute to contact me because when i send a letter to the state it might take up to a week to get them to reinstate your tags. if not longer. Thanks sorry this is long but we needed it published before it gets more out of hand. Dan HeagyVP/ tag cordinator. Thank you again for being a MCOM member. remember you can renew by Paypal on website.

(I relocated this for Dan)

At Bob Thompson's request I have written an official MCOM Club Tag Policy that will be discussed at the May 2010 meeting.

I believe that this written policy will help clarify the club tag program and who is eligible to obtain and keep these special tags.

Briefly stated you must be a member in good standing with the MCOM in order to receive the necessary forms to obtain your Club Tags from the DMV.

Secondly, in order to legally keep your club tags you must maintain your yearly membership with the MCOM.

There is a Compliance issue here with the DMV on these specialty customized club plates. Failure to maintain your membership with the club will trigger a revocation notice by the DMV.

Once this new Club Tag Policy is introduced and discussed at the upcoming meeting we will place it on the club's website and on the forum so that there will be no misunderstanding of how this program works.

We are striving for 100% participation from current Club Tag holders.

We feel that if you were motivated enough to go through the trouble of obtaining these specialty Club Tags than surely you'll feel motivated enough to want to continue to use them by maintaining your membership in the MCOM.
