keep it in the weeds !!!!

Went to VEIP today and the guys took one look and were like, yeah your way too low to get on the rollers.

So automatic pass. Good deal for me. I have my last and final emissions in 2011, then I can go historic. Can't wait !

Yeah happened with me and my 2001 last time. Unfortunately not the couple of previous times I took it and it did scrape the exhaust. The guy told me to just keep bringing in the piece of paper and until they get a bay without the rollers I won't have to do it.

I got mine checked about a month age at the Forest Hill station. I started out in the office asking for a by because I was too low. He had a block of rubber that slide under my chin spoiler so he said I was a go. I had my doubts but slowly made it over the rollers and all went well. More weird than that was my 97 Nissan beater passed after having the light on for 4 or 5 years. I had to get it checked I ran out of extensions. Where the cat bolts to the pipe is shot and so it makes big ricer noise. I blasted up to the rollers and it darn thing passed. WTHeck is that about. Anyway I can continue to drive the beater for another 2 years and may make the 200,000 mark by then.

A month or so after I bought my 2002 Mustang, I received my emissions testing notice. When I took the car into the testing station they just plugged it into their computer to read my computer.

When I asked about the rollers they said that they only use them on cars and trucks older than 1996 when the OB2 computers were installed on all cars and trucks.

I took my test in Owings Mills but I assume that all of the testing sites use the same testing methods. Maybe that's why they only have lines in the computer testing lanes, although it does seem to speed up the process!

The old foxes need to go thru the dyno, they do not have any OBD to plug into.

I did get into a discussion with the guy about cars that are driven very little. I only drive mine to cruise and put less than 500 miles on it every 2 years, so I told the guy its a bit crazy. My longest trip is up to Forest Hill to get emissions...lol...

He noted they are in the process of putting something in place regarding milage.
